lino it

Similar to the previous post on Wallwisher, this online sticker program has  more flexibility, particularly color-coding posts.   Use lino it as a classroom tool for students to organize ideas, information, research in a creative, visual manner.

Teachers can use the tool to start classroom discussion, provide writing prompts, outline subject topics, and so much more.

Students can arrange class notes, organize research or class projects, or make a presentation including pictures and videos.  Give your students this Web 2.0 tool and let them discover ways to use it with their various courses.

Wallwisher

Currently, my online course participants are reading/discussing Donalyn Miller’s The Book Whisperer.  Students in the course are utilizing Wallwisher for a journal/log of their reading, sharing independent reading strategies, and bookmarking web resources.

Wallwisher is an online notice/bulletin board, functioning much like electronic Post-Its. Teachers have found it useful for making announcements, keeping notes, creating discussions, and so much more. Frequently asked questions are often the best overview to understand an online Web 2.0 tool. See what others are asking about Wallwisher. Wallwisher FAQ’s or take a look at a sample wall demo.

  • Ready? It’s time to make YOUR Wall! Go to Wallwisher. Select “Login/Register” in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Complete the required information and then “Create my Account.” You will receive an email from Wallwisher with your Wall URL. Make sure you record your user name and password for future use.
